Public schools offer us a good base for language learning. However, they usually do not have the resources to provide us with the best. They have to stick to the prescribed syllabus, which doesn’t leave a lot of room for creativity. In Language&Partner, these things are different.
While teachers in public schools are sometimes expected to be focused on as many as twenty children, the advantage of our private school lies in the chance to have only up to eight children in the lesson. That gives the teacher the time and space he or she needs to pay close attention to every student. Each of them is guaranteed to receive the notice they need and deserve. For classes with more students, especially younger ones, we have our trained junior assistants, who are always in the lesson and always glad to help them.
What I believe to be the thing our students appreciate the most is the way their teachers approach their education. Through various games, quizzes and competitions, they are introduced to new grammar or vocabulary. Instead of endless memorising, our teachers provide playful and interesting explanations on currently discussed topics.
Students can also feel comfortable and confident since there is no pressure over testing and constant expectations. Our teachers believe that students should not be forced to learn and memorise; they should do it with joy and willingness. Every student is viewed as an equal, which supports a child’s confidence and eagerness to learn more.
We always try to introduce students to up-to-date topics, teach them to talk about them confidently and enhance their critical thinking. They are all encouraged to express their opinion and not be afraid to speak up. Language&Partner is their safe space.
Čo robí Language&Partner výnimočnou školou?
Štátne školy nám ponúkajú dobrý základ pre štúdium jazykov. Častokrát však nemajú prostriedky na to, aby nám poskytli to najlepšie. Musia sa držať predpísaných učebných osnov, čo nenecháva veľa priestoru pre kreativitu. V Language&Partner je to inak.
Zatiaľ čo od učiteľov v štátnych školách sa očakáva, že sa niekedy budú venovať až dvadsiatim deťom naraz, výhoda našej súkromnej školy spočíva v možnosti mať na hodine len do osem detí. To dáva učiteľovi potrebný čas a priestor, aby sa mohol každému žiakovi dôkladne venovať. Každému z nich sa zaručene dostane pozornosti, ktorú potrebuje a ktorú si zaslúži. Pre triedy s väčším počtom žiakov, najmä mladších, máme našich vyškolených mladších asistentov, ktorí im na hodine vždy radi pomôžu.
Čo podľa mňa naši žiaci najviac oceňujú, je prístup učiteľov k ich vzdelávaniu. Prostredníctvom rôznych hier, kvízov a súťaží sa zoznamujú s novou gramatikou či slovnou zásobou. Namiesto nekonečného memorovania naši učitelia poskytujú hravý a zaujímavý výklad k aktuálne preberaným témam.
Študenti sa tiež môžu cítiť pohodlne a sebaisto, pretože tu nie je žiadny tlak kvôli testom a neustálym očakávaniam. Naši učitelia veria, že študenti by nemali byť nútení učiť sa a memorovať, mali by to robiť s radosťou a ochotou. Na každého študenta sa pozerá ako na rovnocenného, čo podporuje sebadôveru a chuť dieťaťa učiť sa niečo nové.
Vždy sa snažíme oboznamovať žiakov s aktuálnymi témami, učíme ich o nich sebavedomo hovoriť a posilňujeme ich kritické myslenie. Všetci sú povzbudzovaní k tomu, aby vyjadrili svoj názor, aby sa nebáli prehovoriť. Language&Partner je ich bezpečným priestorom.
